Rethink How We Celebrate
Every one of us has a unique, valued filled life. There are twists and turns, hopes and disappointments, lessons learned and lessons taught; pure joys we hold close. To fully celebrate a life well-lived is to remember someone’s passions and honor their journey. Memorials should not be cookie cutter, one size fits all. They should be creatively thought out, beautifully executed, and bring a community together in love and support. A Celebration of Life should fit the life story; it can take place on a boat, at a museum, in a hanger – it can include joy and laughter, fantastic food, live music…the possibilities are as diverse as life itself.

In creating a meaningful Memorial and personalizing a Celebration of Life party our complex emotions are allowed to play out in a way that can help guide us through our grief. It is important to acknowledge our pain, fears, and anger. When we honor someone that has passed there is also space for gratitude and happiness in remembering our lives with them. In giving ourselves permission to build an experience that encapsulates a full spectrum of emotions we create a healthier way to flow with grief.
