A Life Well-Lived Deserves A Story Well-Told
A Life Well-Lived Memorial Services collaborates to plan spiritual, creative, authentic Celebrations that allow peace, closure, and joy for those who are grieving. Creating loving presence for all present allows room for acceptance as we run the gamete of emotions surrounding loss.
We do Memorials this way because it is our belief that our connectedness to each other moves us forward with hope; enabling us to continue on with individual growth and the uplifting ways we all affect our communities. Our dream is for our society to develop healthier feelings around death and what it represents in our lives.
Together we will create sacred space and slowly walk through a unique and thoughtful collaboration process to design a Celebration that fits your loved one perfectly.
“Every man’s life ends the same way. It is only the details of how he lived and how he died that distinguish one man from another”
~ Ernest Hemingway
Founder, Rebecca Burnworth, created A Life Well – Lived Memorial Services after planning her first Celebration of Life for a dear friend. Several memorials she previously attended had the same cookie cutter elements. They were full of things that did little to reflect the legacy of the person who had passed. This approach would not do her vibrant, larger-than-life friend justice.
In collaborating with the family it was agreed we wanted something that authentically represented the person we loved. So we did things differently. Every detail for this large event was coordinated by Rebecca with the family only having to make the decisions they wanted to make, instead of the hundreds of details that make a production flow smoothly.
There was sadness and tears; and so, so much joy, laughter, and gratitude – a true Celebration of Life was had. And together we felt a new way of experiencing grief side-by-side with soul affirming love.
“A life fueled by passions is like riding on the back of a dragon”
~ Suzy Kassem, ‘Rise Up and Salute the Sun: The Writings of Suzy Kasse
